Tanks

• Four, 55,000 bbl insulated asphalt   storage tanks
• Total capacity of 220,000 bbl

All Tanks are:

• welded steel construction, to API 650   standards
• heated with hot oil
• coiled with 40,3" fin tubes
• fully insulated with 4" fiberglass
• fully enclosed by compacted earth   containment berm

Truck

The terminal has excellent Interstate access, just adjacent to I-55. There are 4 loading racks with Viking pumps that will load the trucks at 300° F, in about 14 minutes. There is also a new 100,000 lb scale at loading rack. Trucks load directly on the scale to ensure max capacity with no dead freight or overloads.

Barge

Bell Oil Terminal is located on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal southwest of downtown Chicago. OPA and Coast Guard approved. All lines from the barge to the tanks are traced, insulated and supplied with heating which allows barges to be loaded and unloaded at 250° F.
